Come with us on a hike to the summit of Signal Hill in Antigua. Set amongst the country’s lush rainforest, this is one of the best hikes in Antigua. You’ll also get some of the best 360-degree views of the island from the top.
We’ll start our hike on the Fig Tree Road. The hike will take us around two hours in total. We’ll come across some steep sections, so you will need a good level of fitness to take on this hike. The path can also be uneven and slippery in parts, so we recommend that you bring comfortable shoes. Along the way, we’ll pass through Walling’s Dam, a historic Victorian-style dam that is now home to many kinds of plant life like mango trees, white cedar, locust trees and more. This dam has a rich history, and your guide will be able to talk to you more about this.
Hiking in the Caribbean also means you’ll come across many beautiful species of birds and plant life. Your guide will also be able to point all of this out to you as you hike. Then from the top, you’ll have some time to catch your breath as you take in the views of Carlie Bay, Rendezvous Bay, Claremont Farm and more. This experience is the perfect way to stay active on your trip to Antigua and Barbuda.
